Job Title:        Operations Specialist

Reports To:    Chief Operating Officer

Location:        Richmond, VA

Purpose

Thompson, Siegel & Walmsley LLC (TSW) is a prominent investment firm located in Richmond, VA. TSW is seeking a motivated individual to support the Operations team in a variety of critical back-office functions including account reconciliation and maintenance, corporate actions, and order implementation.  Successful candidates must be team players with a positive outlook, have extreme attention to details and good communication skills.

Main Responsibilities

This position will collaborate with various internal teams as well as external service providers to:

·        Reconcile and manage exceptions of positions, transactions, and cash across 25+ client custodians with TSW’s internal book of record

·        Coordinate with portfolio managers, custodians, and internal teams to process, track, and reconcile corporate actions across client portfolios

·        Other duties will include preparing client contracts, setting up new accounts, processing account closings and other recordkeeping requirements

·        Implementation of trade decisions made by TSW portfolio managers across internal accounts and partner wrap sponsor platforms

Key Skills

·        Enthusiastic participation in a team environment and support of TSW’s core values: Focus, Integrity, Teamwork, and Excellence

·        Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3-5 years of related experience

·        Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy

·        Ability to work independently within tight deadlines and prioritize tasks

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, strong knowledge of Excel

·        Experience with industry software (i.e. FIS InvestOne, Charles River, Electra) is a plus

·        Previous experience in the financial industry is a plus
